Split Screens at Le Mans 24 hours!

I understand that this year, for the first time SSVC will be going to Le Mans, for the Classic 24 Heure du Mans? I used to belong to SSVC and contributed an article to the magazine about Carlos (The Crown Prince of Sao Paolo) about 4-5 years ago.
We are now retired and resident in France, near Le Mans and would love to rejoin SSVC and meet up or indeed help members intending to go to what I believe is an amazing event.
Do you have any idea how many people are going? Can we help with camping space before arrival? Can I advise people on ferries and routes, even 'recce' campsites and eateries within 20 miles or so?
I believe it gets pretty solidly booked around the time of the event. If anyone wants to extend their weekend into a holiday I know some great spots between Le Mans and the Atlantic coast.
As I said I'm happy to pay to rejoin SSVC, please let ne know what you think,
Alan Harley
